Founded by Derek Smibert following a career spanning site engineering, surveying, mining operations and business leadership, the company was established to continue delivering the high standards of technical expertise, accuracy and reliability that clients had come to rely upon.
Having built a strong reputation supporting construction, infrastructure and quarrying projects throughout the North East, Derek established Precision Site Engineering to continue delivering the practical expertise, accuracy and technical knowledge that clients had come to rely upon.
Today, Precision Site Engineering combines decades of engineering experience with modern digital delivery methods led by Technical Delivery Manager Jamie Smibert. Drawing upon a background in civil engineering, BIM, CAD and point cloud processing, Jamie supports the company’s continued growth while helping clients benefit from the latest surveying and digital engineering workflows.
Together, this combination of traditional engineering experience and modern digital capability allows Precision Site Engineering to support projects from initial site investigation and reality capture through to construction support, digital modelling and asset management.
